When i put the Can-am away for the winter there was about 1/4 of a tank of optimax in each tank ,they are both absolutely bone dry now where has it gone there is no leaks and have never seen any puddles on the workshop floor .Could it all evaporate ? or has somebody sneaked in and nicked it . You didn't think that the lovely smell of hydrocarbons that greeted you every time you went out to check (or just for a quick perve) if it was still there came from nowhere did you?!

I had some left over optimax in a sealed transparant plastic container, and it evaporated, leaving a thin yellow film in the bottom.

It could be a good time to flush out the carb with some fresh juice, and the fuel filter and the... etc etc

I did a test on my car with a sniffer to check for leaks etc. and found that the highest reading was against the fuel hoses. This reading was higher than with the sniffer stuffed down the carb.

have to admit workshop does not smell normal and i have been feeling a bit down lately i know what it is .....optimax cold turkey need to nip and get a gallon to sniff better put out ciggy first . Simon
