Here's a few photos of injection project - nearly ready for engine to go back in. Hope it's worth all the hard work.

I always have problems getting my photos to appear on here... so here are the links..

Next stop engine dyno?
It has to be done so you can at least quantify your efforts.

It is looking very good Simon, I am somewhat gelous that you are so far ahead!!! I have only done the wiring/ECM side and am still in the process of sourcing all my engine bits. But my target is still the end of March ready for taxing then doing some on road tuning. I guess you are putting the engine back in for Dr Dave to do the rest of his stuff so the engine dyno is not an option, but are you rolling roading?

Just a small point about you regulator, should it have some form of support bracket so as not to stress the end of the fuel rail/couplings?

Looks nice,
I see youv'e used the Autonomics throttle body. I bored mine out to 40mm and added a progressive throttle linkage. The Progressive
conversion elimiates the very on/off throttle response (esp with turbos, your'e either pootling along or heading towards the hedge with torque steer!)

Who did the manifold conversion?
and
Where did you get that thermostat housing?

And edited to add:
My carb based throttle body is on ebay, ends tonight if anyone is interested. item #4608833689

Hi Guys thanks for all the good comments , the inlet manifold was done buy Adrian at american v8 he also supplied the 32 pound injectors ,it is booked in on the rolling road at Dr Dave (emerald)on the 26th of feb so i have got a couple of weeks to fit it all in car .Bracket for reg in being sorted this week ,just have to order some more fuel fittings from Earls (they have been awsome)once the engine is back in .Throttle body is a Autonomics unit have to say i am a bit concerned about throttle response !!!don,t want it to twitchy will have to wait and see ,Dr Dave can map the road map to be softer than the race setting so will probably do that for normal road use .Thermostat housing came from Chris at W.A.S.P. Looks great Simon, wish I was that far on with mine. Looking close at you pictures I see you've gone for manual switching of the return fuel to the tanks. Could you not cable operate them maybe? I went for a Pollak valve to switch mine in the end, but I will enclose it in an aluminium box. Once again congrats on all the work. Need to get my arse in gear!

Regards Dave

Hi Dave , yes did think of cable operating the valves but i think i will try it for a while to see how i get on ,have connected return to the bottom feed of the tanks so i think the excess fuel will flow to the tank with the least amount of fuel in it.... i think !!!! thus balancing up the tanks i hope . The throttle body and plenum look good - is there a filter in there or do you mount it remotely in RH sidepod?

Must be season for EFI conversion, mine also just about there. Next stage is to plug in the MS box and hope for the best! Here are a couple of photos - involved a fair old mish mash of bits and some extreme DIY tactics, but hopefully will be effective. Have a large oval filter on the way and need to invest in some heat protection for fuel lines and swirl pot. Plan is to tune it myself using the wideband and MS software which might be interesting. I have kept the carb and original manifold just in case...

Hi George, it will be good to hear how you get on tuning, I am playing with my wideband cal at the moment, can't quite see why MT shows 25 AFR when it should be 20, still makes it interesting!?

No there is no filter in the plenum ,the plan is to use 4" hose to a large cone filter in the driver side pod hopefully pulling in cold air just a bit concerned about the overall hight at the moment its going to be very close to the rear clip hence the reason why plenum has not been painted yet .simon

Last time I visited earls, they rushed me £35 for a single fitting to go on my fuel regulator.

Eh. Yeah. I've found the UK Earls prices a bit, erm, interesting. Like UK price ex-VAT being a good 20% on the US price including duty and VAT. When I can I've been speccing our and buying in bulk. Sometimes even comes quicker...mostly because when you get off the phone I'll bet they order from the US themselves!
