Oil pressure sender - lost a locking nut... replacable?

I was worried that my oil pressure was up the creek (& missed out on VW because of it - grrr!) until I found that one of the electrical wiring nuts on the oil pressure sender had gone awol! Can these be sourced seperatly? or will I have to buy a whole unit? I can always use a normal nut, but...

The symptoms were that the Oil pressure needle was fluctuating wildly before it eventually went F.S.D whenever the electrical system was active (the engine didn't have to be running)

If there not a metric size then I suspect they may be a BA size ie. 2BA or 4BA. A good bolt suplier will know what that means..

A normal nut of the correct thread will do. It does not need to be brass (assuming that's what it was) nor does it need to be a half nut (again, assuming that's what it was).

I was hoping for an off the shelf replacement, but most places only sell the complete sender units.

At least I still have the other nut to measure the thread on!
