C4 - C2 Gearbox Conversion

Does anyone know from experience if it is feasible to take a C4 box and remove the redundant driveshaft for use in an Ultima?

I have been offered a 6 speed for a good price!

What are the downsides if any?

hi keith, i have a c4 gearbox in my garage (not yet fitted) which has been converted. i believe that Bob Watson carried this work out (before my ownership)

perhaps give him a call.
