LS2 Dyno Charts....

LS2 with AFR heads, longtube headers, FAST intake, Comp cam.

573 HP - 505 ft.lbs. correction factor is 1.046.

Using the 1.14 correction that AS uses , this equates to 624 HP - 550 ft.lbs

It will be interesting to see what I get out of mine with heads, cam and headers.... thats stage 2 of the build - after I get it registered!


Finally got the engine properly mounted on the weekend. Tried transaxle yesterday but it seems the throw-out bearing is the wrong size - 32mm, needs to be 38mm. Will get on the phone to the US tonight and sort this. I wanna start the engine but obviously cant until I get the trannie on.

The engine numbers look good, but really the only proof we can have is in the speed of the car .... comparing one engine builders HP numbers to another is BS and this forum should only compare numbers within silos ie AS engines, Peter Knight engine, add the correction to it just multiples the BS in my opinion.

So to some up good numbers, now give us the 0-60 0-100 and 1/4 mile times, you will have fun collecting them

I don't believe you can swap correction factors like that.
I believe the correction factor is used to compensate for changes in atmospheric pressure no the day, temperature, altitude etc.
If this is correct then the power of that engine is the figure on the dyno sheet.

Crafty i dont think you are going to see much higher figures as there isn't anyone in the states running much more than what you have with that blower!

there is a bigger on coming out that has already done 740 bhp (i think) on an engine dyno!

and there are also a few guys with Kenne Bell blowers installed now and numbers are coming out for them!

Correction figures are designed to enable engines tested in locations & conditions to be compared. The correction used by performance engine builders is STD Corrected horsepower, that is corrected to 29.92 baro, 60 degrees F, dry air. My dyno is 590ft above sea level. I have NEVER seen a correction above 6%. In cold weather and good air, the engine produces more measured power, and the dyno corrects DOWNWARDS. In hot weather, the engine may make less measured power, and the dyno corrects UPWARDS. It is a correction, and is not meant to add power to any given output.

well i really hope you can proveme wrong jeff! would be ace if you could get over 700bhp from that little blower! any plans on using magnus's 122 blower??? they have achived 760 bhp already i think!

700HP - Easily done!!

We got 578 on stock cast iron manifolds and stock vette cats. Headers will typically get another 40 - say 620 all up.

The other 80 is very easy and very cheap.......... use the AS correction factor

It requires 484bhp to run a 9.900 quarter with a 1000kg car and a 12 stone driver, assuming traction & gearing are optimised.....
