Don't know but the alien driver could have done with a pair of shades! He was well pissed off some years ago when my mates trackcar/shopping trolley was less then 2 seconds behind him on road legal tyres at Mallory plus he could have had kids and shopping on board!
I do like the ultima as an all rounder but I'm sure it could get it's arse kicked in quite a few places.

Thanks for that Sean,but just for the record,(and no,I do not mean the world record!) I will most deffinitely NOT be trying to prove anything one way or another.The car has taken way longer than planed to get built and I can't afford, niether do I want to jeopardise my motor in the quest to have the fastest Ultima.The factory are useing this mantle to full effect as an advertising platform, and good luck to them, but we have different agendas.Having said that,who knows if it will be a match or not?

That said, it was a long time ago and the ultima has no doubt changed specs over the years. Boosted.

Let's just hope it helps get the publicity it deserves, especially seeing as Autocar have run with a piece this week giving a big front cover splash to the Veyron saying 'The fastest car on earth' with 5.5 seconds to 100 - no mention of how long it takes to stop let alone the fact it costs about 10x as much as an Ultima at £700k+!!!!

Trouble with Top Gear, unless it involves doing some inane crap like blowing up caravans, or sending cars down ski ramps, they're not bothered.
It's there to entertain the masses, not appeal to petrolheads.

yeah...your right, some things don't flow my boat eighter like the boat cars..., some things are funny but thats what it is for 1 min max(bring those items in some other funny show that I won't look
)...rest of their time when they have no new cars to show they could use their time for, lets say tuning items for cars...and then specially engine tuning(conversions, Superchargers, Turbo's, classic engine tuning), carbon parts tuning, and some other interesting stuff...theirs anough in GB to show! and do test with those things! like engine tuning how it works and what are the benefits and durabillity of such items, so tuners will do more their best...
and let us show in their kitchen Also they can do some low volume special car factory's visits and what they have to offer and show what they make! I would like that for sure
