Carabine ECU and fuel injection systems !!!!!!

This literaly LOOKS great. I'll be glad when someone figures out how well it works. The MassFlo system still sounds like the best available. Anyone heard from Jack Rosen about how his car is running after putting a massflo system on it?

This system is usable for street cars ? it has problems with the low turns of the motor !!!

As for the Carbine ECU, the bank of trim pots for each range is quite interesting, but I dont understand this anti-laptop angle; The fact that I CAN use a laptop on my ECU is the thing that makes EFI so interesting. Being able to see all engine parameters on the screen and adjust accordingly is great. Datalogging is great for armchair tuning sessions.

And I think you would have a bit of a nightmare with those inlets - low end would be tough.

I am always keen to see new ideas,try different things but if I have learned anything on my seemingly never ending quest for the ultimate fuel injection system it is that there are no short cuts or easy answers;you get what you pay for.

I'm not sure I agree. It all depends on who you know... With MegaSquirt you definitely get a lot more than you pay for! If you're building a kit car why not have a kit ECU? Just like building a car teaches you loads about the art of car construction using a kit ECU teaches you a ton of useful (and fun) stuff about engines and EFI.

Do you know (or anyone else) the URL of that open source ECU project? I remmeber coming across is ages ago and cant find it...

Not dissputing that you can't get a bit more than you pay for and if you like to play and learn then from what I have heard, Megasquirt certainly does fit the bill,but for me at least,the very best is almost to expensive and thus 'you get what you pay for'.
