Spit and polish

Well, Auto glym and Carnauba wax actually. Lots of elbow grease, but one very shiny car

Polished with Auto Glym resin polish, then used Auto Glym Extra Gloss, then finished off with 2 coats of Harly Wax (100% yellow carnauba).

Unbelievable finish - really like the highlight two tone. Such an eyecatching colour works really well.

That's the pearlescent mate, really adds depth. It was a bit too bright (and cloudless) when I took those, so they look a bit flat.

Are you going to keep the GTR like the Le Mans cars and never clean the flies off

Lovely. My car washing is limited to chucking a bucket of water over the windscreen so I can see out.

Is the video mount a permanent fixture? When are we going to see some footage? "30mph to Marlow Waitrose"

Video mount isn't permanent as such, but will certainly be there for this weekend at Donington.

Should be slightly more compelling than 30mph to Marlow Waitrose

OK as long as you drive the wrong way around bollards. Normally go the long way around or journey not worth effort. A lot has to be said for cruising up Malow high street in a Canam.

Stig, your car looks great! Have you ever heard of or tried a product called Zaino? I know that Waxes break down after a few weeks. Zaino is a synthetic polish and lasts a long time. It is the only thing I use on my car and I must say gives an AMAZING and long lasting shine. Each coat you apply builds on each other for the ultimate shine. No I do not work for them, but I firmly believe in the product and just wanted to pass it along to you guys as I know you love your cars and their shine!

I just reapplied 2 coats of polish, 2 coats of swirl & scratch remover, and 1 last coat of polish yesterday and the car is super reflective!! (I tried to attach the pics but it did not work, so here is a link to my thread).

I use zanio on my truck and if I ever get the canam painted I will use it on the ultima also.

I've certainly heard of Zaino and seen geed reports of it. I think it's comparable to Auto Glym which is also a polish rather than a wax.

Much as I love seeing your car please keep away from Cookham Dean. They have just resurfaced the roads with the odd thousand tons of stone chips its a nightmare!!!

Thanks Brian. At least they're resurfacing in the summer when the tarmac has a chance of getting the chips to adhere to it.

Round my way, they wait until November when the roads are ice cold and wet!!!
