I got a lovely farmer tan from yesterday.
Great day all bar the brakes, bent steering arm, over heating ECU...... ha ha.

It was a good day, nice to meet some like minded types, with not a chav in sight :-)

I'll admit I played chicken on the high speed turn, never hit above 70, but it was good to give it some stick around the cones.

I was having all sorts of issues changing gears properly though, especially the down shift from 3rd to 2nd, it was proving to be a right pain in the butt, then there was the time I left the handbrake on...

All in all a good day, even if the track surface was a bit rough, be good to try something similar again perhaps on a slightly larger area so I can at least get into 4th gear!!!

Sorry about that, you'd have been most welcome, I lost count of the rides I ended up giving, Jaz in particular was very tempted to get an Ultima after his ride...

I had more luck before midday, I think the track surface was a bit grippier, as I just couldn't connect the dots after the lunch break...

Thanks for the rides guys & thanks for coming to the event. Really impressed with the look and feel of the Ultimas. They were the only car there I'd sell my Lotus to acquire.

Just out of curiosity, how much is a new one and how does it differ from old ones, and how much can the old ones be acquired for? I recall something about £30k?

Ought to thank-you one more time - it was a great experience and I learn't a lot from our easy-going instructor.

Check out the classifieds on pistonheads, I got mine here 18 months ago for £23.5k and have spent probably another 3k debugging it.

After the day I have in fact put my car up for sale! However, I am undecided as to whether to replace it with a quick car (Ultima) or a classic (slow). Decisions decisions.....
