Had the factory fit a new ignition switch while it was up there having the windscreen replaced.
What a difference it has made! The old one used to get very hot with the air con running. Now, it's perfectly normal and even the voltage level has increased.
Is it just a new switch, or did they wire it differently to?
I think it's just a new switch (£29.50). The reason the voltage reading is now higher could be because the old one was acting like an electric fire!?
I also had the ignition switch replaced by the factory this week and also agree what a difference,maybe we should have ordered together we may have got a discount !!!
