second, do you limit the boost cos it doesn;t seem to be making ful boost till quite late in the rpm band! is it to save the transmition??

The run in the film is not on max boost. This run is on 820hp (max 962hp). I have full boost around 5000rpm. And the revlimit is 8500rpm. Im still a bit scared of the car so I will wait with a full hp run. I let you guys know when it is done.

I just realiced that you where refering to the testdrive movie. That hardly no boost at all.

It's my engine that is on the dyno shoot. I didn't have boost control set so boost comes very slow and the power curve is very much like a NA-engine. On the dyno runs I did later, with boost control active, I had 1 bar boost from around 5000 rpm all the way to redline. The dyno runs very "haevy" in the beginning of the pulls so the engine sounds much more "strangled" than it does on the road.

Now I will use speed/gear dependant boost to limit power in the lower gears.

it's amazing how quick it accelerates. It will be fun to see if it will hit the rev limit in sixth gear (400+).

do you guys think there is more left in the engine?? could you make it boost a little harder higher up in sixth to help you get your high speed???

or you could even map the boost for each gear vs rpm and get a setup that you can launch at full throttle and never have to back off of! now that would be nice!!!

Is this the run where it achieved 0-340 in 19secs

How much power was it putting down

Im not 100% sure it was in this run. I think this was something like 336km/h.
I did the runs on 820hp (engine). The engine is dynoed to 962hp on full boost. So there are still some mote to come! =)
