Ultimasports AC, how to get it dense
Discussion
After my Gear Box-leakage-odyssey (successfully accomplished) and the "dry and dense Headlight Covers"-Orgy (s.a. too), I´d like to introduce a new story to my friends.....
I bought the original Ultimasports AC Kit, fitted and filled it (several times). Meanwhile all hoses end with a sealring densed connection...What happened was..It worked about 100 miles and then started spitting 3 or 4 times in the passengers floor (where the heater unit is mounted)....I checked the connection there even with a black light lamp, but couldn´t find any visible leakage. Has anyone experienced smth. like this...Maybe there is a invisible flaw somwhere else....

If it is condensate then it should be leaving the Heater/Ac unit via a hose from each side going over the side rail and down through the bottom of the side pods.
I'm not sure the system will have a UV dye in it unless you asked for it to be added so checking with the lamp may not show anything.

Are you sure you have fluorescent dye in the system. If you have a leak it would normally show up. The misability of R134A and the dyes currently on the market is very good. I would suggest recovering the refrigerant and
Nitrogen pressure testing the unit.
It would be worth testing with an electronic leak detector in the footwell. providing you have refrigerant in the unit. BUT It sounds like condensate.

If it helps,
Mine drips on my leg and did has done since installed - it's quite refreshing really!! Just condesation of warm cabin air hitting cool air ducts with a large surface area - look at the cooling pipe running along the drivers side to see the condensation on a smaller scale. I guess a mod would be to insulate the pipes with wrap, or just enjoy the cool drips!
