Looks great! I'm very impressed. I have always thought that the interior is what makes Ultima feel lika a kitcar. Something like this makes it feel much more "real".

Watcha Si, looks really neat does that, only problem is it makes those hideous vents look even worse!, can you not fabricate something nicer to look at? I know they work fairly well but as has been mentioned before, they scream 'KIT CAR'.

I'm not keen on the vents either, I going to go with a set up like LuckyP's.

It looks like and am heading down the same road as you, all be it a fair bit behind

Hope mine end's up looking as nice as yours

Simon

Neat bit of engineering there. Saw the dash at the open day and it's pretty impressive work. Did you do all the machining yourself or 'sub' it out to a machine shop?

Sad thing is, the day off yesterday has endeared it to me and I find I almost like it.I would rather be a slightly higher rank but Captain is better than Private or Ships mate and hopefully, with hard work and dedication, I can get promoted!cool

Hi Simon,

NICE car!!! Excellent choice on the engine!!!..Ive got an LS2 in my GTG. ( - Wayne)

Im struggling with AC fittings at the moment and can see that you have something nifty in there.... is that a special fitting you have on the compressor? How have you connected it to the Ultima hoses.... and photos/infor would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful work, Simon.

Yes, as Crafty said... Any info on AC components is appreciated.

The compressor was provided by Gardener Douglas not sure what its from (had the ally headers fitted), I made the pipes myself and used simaler heat exchanger to ultima (complete system just over £600 + pipe work and compressor)like the look of the adaptors crafty posted so may get one on next visit to keep the costs down.
