A down-to-earth Question, The carwash and cleaning...
Discussion
I washed and cleaned my GTR very thoroughly last weekend. After driving a few (max. 10) miles the rims have already been covered by the abrasion of the brakes and the car was looking dusty.....As I really cleaned the rims I found the inner alloy "stars" already tarnishing..Is that normal ?
How do you guys maintain your GTRs...Special treatments, agents and instruments ?
And when washing the car with a water jet...water gets into the side pods through the side grills....Where do you have a drain for the water.... I siliconed (and o.c. riveted) the side pods very thoroughly and so it´s quite dense (in contrast to the headlight covers and my AC Kit :-))) )...Shall I drill a hole in the side pod or try to pull out the silicone... ?

I have two drain holes, one at each end, of each side pod. They are located inwards some distance from the actual ends. I think the rear one is inbetween the fuel tank and the fume seal area, but be careful when doing it now, pick your location very carefully! I guess anywhere will be better than none.
As for your wheels, clean them up and then polish them, that will help a lot.
