Rocker oil leaks and engine stall on hard braking - sorted!
Discussion
May have been covered before but if not........
Used to get oil drips on the rocker covers breathers. If you get this buy a PCV valve and connect to the carb (I used the take off for the servo brakes - which I dont use any more)
Other side back into the air filter.
This cures the oil leaks straight away (thanks to SteveD for pointing this one out!)
Also, got a kit for my Holly 750 carb - small plastic funnel and jet extensions which go into both float chambers of the carb.
Now with very hard braking - engine doesnt die.
total cost of part £25, takes an hour to fit. Got all the parts (and advice) from Real Steel in Uxbridge - very nice guys who know all chevy V8 issues/problems/fixs.
Hope this helps.

yep... easy.. You remove the air filter... remove the fuel lines at each end of the carb. Remove the four bolts at each end and remove the float assembly(small amount of fuel will come out). Place the jet extensions on the jets (at the bottom of the carb) and place the plactic "extender" at the top of the carb. (diagrams come with the parts) Replace etc. You may need new gaskets - I didnt.
I have the part numbers if you need them.
