Help - Tuning with EFI

Can anyone help.

The last track day in my Sport resulted in damaging the engine (concensus is that it was due to running too lean or the timing not correct.)

I have just had my 5.7 chevy engine completely rebuilt and once fitted I would like to have it tuned properly by someone who is familiar with the Edelbrock Pro Flo Fuel Injection system (model 3500 with a 3514 chip). This is the type where you have a control unit which plugs into the ecu and you can adjust the map as you drive.

Can anyone recommend someone?

Thats a hard one martin you need someone with a rolling road who nows the system and knows a hell of alot about setting it up ,sorry to say don,t think you will find anyone as thats system is widely used in the states but not over hear ,might be better to upgrade the ecu to a uk system then get them to map it ,my own ecu is a emerald unit and Dave Walker spent hours mapping so it is very important you get it right !!!!

It should be fairly straightforward for a rolling road operator to do it. Dave Walker would be a good bet imo.

Actually, a good look at your plugs can also go a long way. I check mine after every session or two. You really just need a way of checking when the motor is going lean. Could you install a a/f measuring kit with probe in your exhaust? Might be a simple way. These systems are quite easy to tune, but you need a way of knowing when the car is running rich or lean.

Once I have overcome a problem with the height clearance of my new sump, I am really looking forward to getting back on the road.
