Finally......... Its FINISHED

Tried to take it for a spin this evening...but oil pressure was low. There's a hole for a temp sender in the adaptor for the oil cooler take off. When I first started the car I found this when oil pissed out everywhere, so I put a bolt in it. I was worried that the bolt might be too long so I didnt tighten it. It had a small drip from there so I tightened it yesterday and Im thinking that is the culprit as I had good oil pressure last time I started it and thats the only thing thats changed. It was dark by the time we started it and discovered this so I just put it away.

Im far too busy at work to do a 1/2 day tomorrow.... but probably will so I can take her for a spin.

Only a few other things to do after the spin:
Fit side windows - have left these off for testing.
Remake one of the AC hoses to suit my application - gas the system and fit the belt
Fit the grills
Fit the passenger seat - its out in case I need to get under the dash

Sounds good, but don't forget to break the engine in gently - or it might be back off to the states for a warranty claim!

Oil problem sorted - it was what I thought.

Took her for a spin today.....Im as happy as a pig in shit... the car is absolutely NUTS.

It purrs like a pussy cat until you hit the pedal, then all hell breaks loose... lightning,. thunder, birds falling out of trees, babies getting sucked out of prams... passengers pooing and weeing their pants.

Ive set it up with cats only - no mufflers, single, central exhaust - trapezoidal shape like the hole in the rear clip. Sounds sweet.

I took some photos today, but I dont have the cable with me to upload them now.

The car is scarier than I thought it would be, and I havent even opened it up yet..... anyone that says that an Ultima needs any more power than what I have is INSANE...

And also good to read that you came up with a cats only system thats also what I thought off a long time ago, because they can stop also a lot of sound so a good all in one so to speak cat acting also as a muffler is perfect and save's weight too and you have some more spare room under the bonnet.

I guess they could be scary...scare yourself with such toy its so much grunt at low revs and then when you floor it...I also have a little Idea about that now with my new car without drivers elektronic helps, only a diff-lock and with 430ps(thats what the owner said anyway but 400 sounds ok too) and more then 530nm starting act ad low revs it can scare yourself even in my for the Dutch road registering special weighted as it came their 1390kg(inclu petrol and stuf) the tires can't keep up with the torque and tarmac...when the streets are dampy even in 4th the wheels can spin and in the dry in 3th so my car is eating tires(265/30/ 19inch) and thats max, here my thread about my new toy ow and there's only one in the world and also my car is now the first officialy Hartge on Dutch roads they had to change the books for that what a normal guy can do in this world, they changed the books for the first real Hartge,(also owned by Herbert Hartge was a prototype at first) how cool is that

Can't wait to see pics and a video. Mine is up and running but still trying to sort out a mapping problem. Don't you just love superchargers. A crowd gathered at the local rolling road when I had mine running. The induction moise from mine is almost painfull .

euhm if I can put on in the back-trunk its also only a twoseater...and yeah I must say after trying a lot of cars those kind of special BMW cars feels very good, though mine is no BMW anymore but a manufactured Hartge and with a "big" 5.0 V8..tuned by Hartge.

Anyway, waiting for your pics to share with us on PH good to see it on the road did it take a longer time then sheduled? I mean in the beginning all went like a thunderstorm so fast and then...it took some time, how long from the begin to the end and how many hours yet?
