180° Elbow Air Conduct from AirBox to throttle sought
Discussion
Hi Guys,
We wanted to build a ram air box placed on the top of my LS6, quite similar to www.perfectpowerusa.com/Ultima/TTeng1.JPG. To close the gap between box and throttle I wanted a 180° Elbow. Problem is that there´s no place in height at all so it has to be the smallest 180° elbow in height as possible meaning the "inlet" has to be right beside the "outlet" with least space between them. Does anyone know a supplier for elbows suitable for that purpose (diameter should be bewteen 94mm and 98mm)or another solution for that issue ?
Thanks for your help.

Didn´t mean to steal anything...By the way talking of stealing...isn´t it rather quite common that german things are "rev-engineered " (=copied) in china, "Hong-Kong"-Crafty :-)
To be serious I didn´t get your reply fully...What do you mean with "underway for..." did you let one be made for you...did you order one somewhere ? Where did you get the box from...and how do you connect it to your throttle ?
Any hint would be very nice and is concerned strictly confidential (beside the fact, that this is a public forum)...

hey jeff...
i do believe what you say...but what other options do I have ? Moving the throttle ? If you´d have any recommendations I´ll be very keen on reading them ! I know, a 180 degr. bend isn´t good in terms of flow at all, but at least we plan to include air guide plates to decrease turbulences within the air conduction... You got pics of other alternatives ?
Thanks Lutz

Im doing it like Jeffs was before the TT.... basically a box that goes around the air filter. Jeff put a panel inside his scoop and a box around the filter so that the scoop would direct air into the box.
My box and scoop will stay on the engine.
