Before I embark on installing the air conditioning system in my GTR I wondered if anyone had changed the controls to something a little more sophisticated which has digital climate controls.

My god you've kept quite for the last 3 years.
More than welcome though.
Many on here will threaten not to talk to you unless you post some photos of your build.
At the very least you need to tell us how long you have been building and where your at. Some seem to think colour is important so you need to come clean on that too.

Anyway back to your question.
I know one or two have brought the controls out into the open and put some fancy knobs on the existing controls but don't know of anyone going digital.
It may not be that difficult if you can make or buy the sensor side of things as the only difficult bit is the temperature control. Currently this is a capillary tube wrapped around a pipe to sense the temperature and work a diaphragm inside the existing rotary control. Replace that with something electronic you make yourself or nick something of a production car.

OK - I know I've been quite.

I just purchased my chassis from Pete (Pilot - Pete) as an unfinished project. I will update with pictures as things progress over the next few months.

I'll let you off then. My (incorrect) assumption was that you had been building since 2004.

I had quick look at the aftermarket A/C controls in the US. They all look like something out of the 60-70s
The US leads the market in the aftermarket products. Have a look at Vintage Air. Red Dot etc etc. No electronics!
