query - most beautiful mid-engine cars of all time

The ultima is clearly one beautiful mid-engine car, but I am curious what everyone's favorite of all times is, in terms of design and overall "beauty".

Is the Stratos technically mid engined? as I believe (and could well stand corrected) that the Ferrari Block is mounted transversly directly over the rear axle?

Yes the Stratos is mid-engined.
The C of G of the engine is behind the driver, but ahead of the rear axle line.....the definition of mid-engined.

Miura has to be the most beautiful. IMO the GT40 isn't classically beautiful, but has kind of functional good looks, if you see what I mean. Still utterly desirable.
