I'm with Hagerty, 3000 miles, agreed value, track days covered (I think it was 10% of premium)

That is a pretty good price Simon but how much do you have it insured for? Is it agreed value? Does it include breakdown cover ( not a problem if not but will make a difference to quote ).
You will be hard pressed to get track insurance for something like this and I am of the view personally that if you can not afford to 'stack it', then don't 'track it'!

Hi folks,
Yes, the previous threads give some useful info and the topic reminded me to insure my now built GTR !
For your info, I am now insured with hegarty. For a quote, ask for Marcus (01327 856002), he's a very helpful guy who understands Ultimas and their owners. For info, my details are :
2007 GTR
Agreed value £ 50k
4,000 miles
£ 750 xs (go for this optional higher level of excess, so long as you don't think you're gonna prang it !)
Repairs done to Ultima standard etc
3 free wedding days (more at £ 50 per day)
Premium £ 615
Am also on cover now, pre SVA, so no more worries about the garage going up in flames
Regards
Tony.

[quote=SimonMaidenhead]Wayne, agreed value of 45k, is that enough?[quote]
I would say no Simon, did you not say that you have all of the receipts for the parts? Don't forget to allow for the cost of rebuild too.
With regards to tracking and stacking, game on old man! A modicum of insanity is most definitely an advantage where Ultima ownership is concerned although most affectionately call it 'eccentricity'

Another firm to consider...
Competition Car Insurance - 0115 941 5255 talk to Wayne
Mine Ultima insurance cost £331 with £250 XS and at a value of £35k limited to 4,000 miles, track day cover is extra at £75 to £130 per event depending on venue and organisor? Hagerty's came a very close 2nd and included 4 track days! Oh, and I'm not that old?
Hope this helps.

Just avoid Adrian Flux and NIG insurance at all costs....useless tw.ts
My 23 year old son's ancient Peugeot 106 was recently written off by an NIG insured lady who pulled out in front of him. Within 3 hours NIG phoned to admit liability and to tell him there was a hire car waiting for him at our local Enterprise rental. He is now driving around in a brand new Corsa SXI (8 miles on the clock at pick up) and is hoping NIG really drag their feet wrt finalising his claim, since he has the car for up to a week after he gets the settlement cheque! NIG may be the pits for some people, but for my son they can do no wrong. The only problem now is how long can we delay the settlement payment. I'm sure the initial figure will be totally unacceptable! GTRMikie said:

Big day will be next weekend at the latest, just waiting for a bank transfer from the sale of my car.
Wayne, after taking your advise I've increased the agreed value to £90K for a premium of £888 but with £700 excess.
Track days to be insured subject to an additional £700 excess plus 10% of premium, i.e. £89 per day with a £1400 excess. Worth it? And no I don't intend to stack it, but can never tell when a Lotus may not want to get out of the way

otherwise what's the point of owning it?
