I keep saying..I dropped my camera and it now runs a little fast. Unfortunately, there is now no way of calibrating the speed from it....if you're suggesting that one of us might be speeding!!!

Graham, They normally go undet London and come up with us - but perhaps we could have a different convoy this year - how about meeting up in London or sommink?

Still debating if it is worth the journey. Now if Ted provided something for current owners in terms of upgrades, setup or service it would make the journey very worthwhile and be an excellent selling tool to show customer support. I would love to know about tyre pressure and suspension setup for road and track while lucky would like to know about how to clean engines and make the car go 25 mph quicker!

Did you make it yourself? If so I don't suppose you have the mould still?

Hi Mart,

No - fraid not. Due to the returned edges that overlap the vertical section of the dash and the peak covering the dials, the buck was sacraficial. Carved outta modeling foam, it was covered in poly bag then laid up. The only way to remove it was to break it up. The fact that it's leathered means that the surface need not be perfect do a male mould was fine.

Explain more if needed at the FOD

That's a shame. I ordered a batch of lsx stuff on friday for myself, it cleared customs on monday and I received it tuesday morning. It was shipped via BAX who were also a lot cheaper then UPS. So maybe Bax would be quicker next time around.

Hmmm... long story. In essence... it started with an oil seal leaking requiring replacement, but on closer inspection by Mr D small wear grooves were found in the crankshaft bearings (not great after 900 miles). Nobody seems to know how this has happened, this kinda thing is fully inspected/tested for at AS.

I have to say at this point how pleased I am with American Speed's attitude, as, despite the engine not officially being under warranty, Gail has offered to cover the work to replace both the seals and bearings for me.

Can't really blame UPS for the delay as it sat with US customs for most of the time... enough said.
