Ultima short term insurance?

Need your input guys..
A Danish friend of mine is coming over to collect his Ultima from the factory in 2 weeks time. The car has been registered on UK plates and the plan is to drive it back to Denmark.
However, He is having problems with insurance. He needs to insure it for say 1 week to drive in the UK and Denmark (Taking the ferry back from Harwich straight to Denmark)
The car will nto be registered in Denmark - due to the 180% car tax there.
As a Danish resident with no fixed UK address I'm asuming this will be difficult?
Would it be possible for me to insure it without actually owning the car and add him as a 2nd driver perhaps?
