Question re ally panelling
Discussion
Are there any disadvantages to panelling the whole of the engine-side bulkhead, right up to the top of the roll hoop ? I have seen some builders who do this, and then maybe carpet the cockpit side, leaving the diagonal brace exposed - I think like the look of that...
Just wanted some opinions to help me decide what to do - about 8 weeks till my kit arrives, and just trying to get a few thoughts straight in my mind.
Thanks very much,

As standard the fiberglass cockpit extends down into the engine bay and over the diagonal which is usually left visible inside the cockpit and can therefore be carpeted. Some owners may have panelled over the fibreglass in the engine bay or replaced the fibreglass with panelling. Unlike Steve_D I have left the inside of this area open on my car and carpeted it as you suggest and which I think is the factory standard. This gives easy access to the seatbelt fastenings and the diagonal makes a great mounting point for my camera.
