ULTIMA TRACK DAY IN 2008

HI everyone

How many of you would be interested in an Ultima only Trackday in 2008??

I could arrange it in the Midlands so its central for everyone, perhaps we could just do a PM slot to keep costs down??

If there is enough interest i will ring Oulton, Donni, Mallory Silverstone for prices??

I think we would need at least 15-20 cars to make it viable or more for a full day.

Yes I'm in for that but what will the noise limit be as last time I was measure it was 105db.

When when were you thinking of holding this track day as I am hoping to have a finished car around May time and would love to come.

Sure I saw Donington had "noise limit free" days? - albeit in the week - just know mine is a struggle to get down even with track day silencers - just scrapped a 109db at Goodwood but it feels like its being strangled on performance..
So if it goes to a "noise limit free" day I will be there!
Must be some more up for it? Come on Guys

I hope to do a few track days next year! So you can count me in! Hope my search for more power over the winter months keeps the engine in one piece. More boost! More boost! . I'll be happy with 600bhp. No 700! No 800! Help I'm loosing it!

Bend the exhaust pipes ends inwards to face themselves? Just a thought, only on the day mind.

I'll have a chat with my "contacts" next week and see what they say. Am sure we can get a good discount and some good instructors too. Agree with other peoples' comments - the noise level may be the deciding factor on where and when we go. Will also look at this.

Insurance for track days ? I'll check out the "I bent it on the way TO the track" clause with Hagerty. Seriously, I don't want to prang it and I certainly don't want to prang it without being insured. My wallet is still on a drip in Ward 2 of the Royal Shrewsbury after the final set of invoices.

Here I am going to Tescos for a "pose" and there is LuckyP, once again on the limit at another track day. Great thread again Pete, nice to know what these cars can do in the right hands and nice to know they can stand up to serious driving. But if you need some tips on how many french sticks / cans of Stella you can get in the sides pods ....

I think you'll find that Hagerty cover track days, cost 10% of your preminum.

Does the 10% give you unlimited days or just a certain number ?

I think you pay 10% of your premium per event, you also have a huge excess increase to around £1000??

My excess would have also been 10% of the value of the car, which amounts to at least £3,000

I've just changed from FJ to Hegarty. £1000 odd to £680.

Indeedy, I now pay £68 per track day and have to stump up the first £4.5K if I stack it.......
.....but let's face it. A stack, fixed by the factory, is gonna be a little more than £4.5K no?
