Because I am thinking of making the big jump to ordering an Ultima GT-R and never seeing it in the flesh, how much attention does it get when you drive down the street? How much attention does it get when it's parked? I know looking at it in pictures does it no justice, but does it get more attention then a Lamborghini Murcielago? Does it make other supercars pale in comparison with it's charismatic GT race car design? Do people almost crash into light poles and fire hydrants as you cruise along the local roads? Tell me your stories.

Anybody ever get pulled over by the police because they thought you mistakenly made a wrong turn at a race track?

If you don't like, or don't want the attention, don't get an Ultima GTR. Park it and walk away and 30 seconds later there will be five people walking around it discussing what they think it is.

I had one young lady flash her best assets at me as I drove towards her – that’s better than the Dogs Bo11ocks.

I was driving home from work one evening on the M25, doing slightly in access of the limit (!) when I noticed "boys in blue" closing rapidly in my mirrors. I slowed, but to my dismay they dropped in behind me and proceeded to follow me to my exit junction, about 10 miles further on. They also left the motorway and continued to follow me for a further 5 miles along the A25, when I turned into the road where I live. They followed. A further 400 yards and I turned into my drive. So did the "boys in blue". By the time I had extricated myself from the GTR they were standing alongside. "Evening sir, like the car, do you mind if we have a look?" 30 minutes later the wife called me in for dinner and the "boys" left.

The crime rate in Surrey must be very low!

On route to Le Mans I had to stop at road works traffic lights. One of the workers spotted the car and shouted to his mate. By the time the lights went green every worker along the whole stretch was now standing against the line of cones waving and shouting.

In Le Mans town centre a guy climbed out of the passenger window of a car alongside. Then sitting on the window sill he took photos of the Ultima across the car roof. We were still doing 30ish down a dual carriageway.

Parked in any car park it will draw a crowd and it will almost always get photographed in petrol stations.

Or how about winning Concourse DE Elegance at Le Mans

I only have a decal in the window of my daily-driver. A deliver driver (UPS) in large truck (lory?) followed me into my office parking. As I got out of the car, he rolled by saying, "I love that car, man!"

I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Clearly, he wasn't talking about the car I was driving that day. Then I realized this was on the rear window...

Got board of taking longer than I needed at the Petrol stations, and never wanting to be rude I printed a sheet out with all the normal stupid questions and answers on....

1. How fast is it
2. How bigs the engine
3. Whats the 0-60
4. Is it Italian ( Copper asked that once )
etc etc etc you get the picture

when anyone started to ask more than one question I just handed out a sheet and it had the web-sight address at the bottom.... Free advertising for Ted and Co.....

So yes if you like cruising and getting attention then this is the car..

But then again my GT40 had the same reaction, except the "IS IT A REAL ONE MATE" to which if I was in a rush YES would normaly shut them up...
