GTs: Ultima Finishes 6th
Problems overcome and points in the bag
![]() |
Aaron Scott and his Master Motorsport team mate Steven Brady, were at Castle Combe for round 6 British GTs and overcame a number of technical problems to get a good result (6th) out of a field of 25 cars.
Scott qualified the car in 10th place on Saturday ready for Sunday's 60 minute race. Brady started the race and drove for the first 20 minutes before handing over to Aaron, after a tough and eventful race finished the race in 6th position. This secured a further helping of points for the Omnico backed team.
Aaron Scott said, "This was the toughest race of the year for us, we had overheating problems with the engine and so we had to nurse the car to the flag. The team worked very hard and did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up with the results in the race stoppage and we should really have finished 4th. Nevertheless, the points are good for the Championship. We have a new engine on the way for the next round at Oulton Park and we need that to keep us moving up the table and challenging for the podium finishes."
The gearbox is a hybrid based on the Riley & Scott 'box from the Le Mans car. It's extensively modified by a local bloke and goes under the name T96.
I'm sure you could get one, but it won't be cheap!!

She's probably buying an industrial drum of swarfega as we speak - errr, don't ask
I wouldn't wind up Stig by the way. He used to be the toughest moderator on the block, crushing replies with his delete button every few seconds. He is now a happier, more mellow individual, but Noble vs Ultima meanderings may push him over the edge... he's like the hulk, you know
