Being the comedian in question. I think if you look a little further at the spec. Then you will what’s on offer!
LS1 with Kinsler throttle bodies, G50-10 Etc,
In answer to the restoration Yes the car did need restoring. Remove some of the powder coating off your chassis and check what’s underneath.
I can post the photos....

just realised Perth in Perthshire as in Scotland, must be hoping to sell it to an Englishman, as we seem to subsidise everything North of the border
Its still a Sports 80% comp, with a sh1t load to buy to comp
Now if it were a GTR

SO...out of interest, what makes the GTR so much more appealing than the sports?

also please be gentle with him he tends to lose it easily, all them years he spent in a special home
Yo matt-man in reply to your question,` If I am honest, then I actually prefer the Sport, I just loooove that curvacious rear end
it was actually a Sport that I wanted, but a Can-am just happened to turn up, with big thanks to Wayne and Clive. I just think that this part Restored one in the adds is overpriced, it would make a great winter project though.
Yo kyle is that why you are not returning my calls

Back into my workshop!
It should be completed in the spring. I had quite a few interesting telephone calls!!!
I had been offered a Radical hence the car was up for sales. The project to date has cost in excess of £35K I hope this will be an indicator for any one purchasing an early car. It may be financially a better option to buy a new kit and start from scratch.
If any one wants to convert a Rover engine Sports to LS1/2/7. I have the CAD drawing of the engine/gearbox mounts etc. I also laser cut a spare set of mounts when I made the original set.
One last thing I do prefer the body style of the Sport.
Thanks
Neil

Your experience is a good warning to those of us who have thought about buying an earlier car and upgrading it.
You never end up with the current car spec. but spend about the same as you would on a basic GTR built from scratch.
It's the same with most car restorations/rebuilds. They cost more than the car is worth when finished!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing on earth wrong with a chevy/porsche sport. As with all kits the chassis condition will depend on use and maintenance.
Its easy to blow a bundle of cash on anything, remember folks the chevy sport is a GTR less a few aerodynamic tweeks.
My Mk4 sport as been remarkable value. not faultless granted, but to compare running maintenance to 40k build cost is daft.
