Rich.f still has his GTR, but spends most of his time over at www.ultimagtr.co.uk
I'll be seeing him tomorrow and will tell him to pop over here to say hello if he has time.

Hi Phil,
Yep still about, haven't used the Ultima at all this year exept for the last few weeks. I have had the engine rebuilt and the parts I bought from you are now fitted, currently taking it easy and have done 160 miles so far!! Was wondering wether you used the choke on the carb if so how was it fitted? I have also moved the temp sensor, previously it was in the inlet manifold now I have it fitted in the ally heads and only get up to 60 - 70 on the dial, is this right? the other major difference is the brake light switch, now have a 1 bar switch and the lights work when pressing the peddel!!

Hello Rich
Good to here all is going well.
The choke is an electric job, just needs a 12v supply to the loose wire (from the ignition circuit) as far as I remember. As for the temps, if 60-70 is very recently then that is probably fine, mine only just got warmed up in 33 miles hitting a high of 74. I know others have the temp sensor in the head they may be able to comment on what temps they see typically. In the warmer months though the range can be quite large as we all know.
