Throttle cable linkage
Discussion
I doubt there is a single answer as there are many different carb models.
I made up my own brackets which start as a bracket trapped under one of the carb flange nuts.
I think the factory use a rose joint with the cable outer stopping in the middle. This is flexible and supposedly allows the cable outer to sit where it wants to but I'm not convinced as it may cause the inner to kink where it exits the outer.
The most important thing is for the cable to leave the side pod and arrive at the carb in a nice progressive curve with no bends or stresses as many have found this will cause the throttle to stick open. This in turn causes laundry issues.
If I can get a clear shot of my setup without having to take things apart I will post some pics.
