Riveting the body

Looked in all the photos I can find but cannot confirm if I need to fit washers under rivet heads when fitting the glassfibre side pods.
I think I should but can someone confirm.

Yes, unfortunately this is not in the manual anywhere and I'm not about to drill mine out. Multiple older cars have the body fitted without the flat washers without problems.

You can see the washers in extra folder STORAGE1.JPG for instance.

I thought the washers were also provided with the rivets.

The factory fitted my body so to speak and washers were used. They also supplied them for other glass fibre fittings.

Have now fitted both pods with washers.
