Yep - Jeff's done the magic. - I received these figures this morning for my LS7...
"730.7 hp na on pump fuel. Smooth idle at 930-950.
Superwide powerband 453.6 lb ft at 3000, 502 lbs ft at 4000 572.2 at 5500. 518.6 lb ft at 7400"
Just over 104 hp/litre
I must say that Jeff has been excellent throughout...and very patient with my questions!
IMHO he's da man..
Pics and possibly a vid of the dyno pull to follow in a few days.
Just the small matter of getting the car finished now!

Congratulations Russ....thought mine was the dog's danglie but breaking the 100hp/litre is mind blowing.......looks like Jeff's had a good week!!
Jeff had indicated powerband wouldn't be as wide with this mod but he seems to have worked the ole Schwartz 'magic' again....hmmmmm? think I might be making a call this afternoon.....

I wasn't keen on the standard plastic horizontal intake on the LS7 and wanted to take advantage of the height available in the engine bay of the GTR. I also wanted a mix of new engine but the older, more traditional look. The intake on the 730LS7 is based largely on the one below.Chris.

its ok mate i understand, just wanted to hear it from Jeff thats all. like i said i have heard bad results (reduction in low end torque with little to no gain at the top end) form using these type of intakes on LS specific engines. just waondered whats jeffs feelings on them are.I think the numbers speak for themselves... as for sheet metal, most of the BIG power guys are running them as they can give MASSIVE flow compeared to the stock plastic items.

Chris... seriously.... Russ has just posted how stoked he is with his results. HIS engine, HIS excellent results... and it happens to be one of the toughest NA LS7's out there...probably the toughest NA Ultima out there.... not really the right place to be posting (posing?) your wealth of (internet) experience.
When you build/buy/steal/win an LS7 that gets better numbers you can shout it from the rooftop, post wherever and whenever you like.... in the meantime, give it a break with posting alternative views on other people's victories...

I must say I am very impressed with the power figures of these engines. I have yet to drive mine since my power increase and look forward to testing it on the drag strip. It will be good to see how the LS7 engined Ults do over the 1/4 mile. I can still add more boost to mine but I want to see how things go this year. My new transaxle should arrive from CMS this week and I look forward to the new gearing. If I hadn't gone this route then it would have been an LS7 or hybrid LS. Good luck with these engines! I look forward to seeing them in the flesh.

i never intended to take anything away from Russ's results. thats why i asked jeff himself.

Hi Dave - you'll have to pop across at some stage given your proximity! I'm also as eager as anyone to see how these drive and perform - in my particular case steadily and with the TC switched on max!Regards Dave
