Couldn't resist........after short call with Jeff he's agreed to delay shipping my engine out for a couple of weeks in order to fit the modified inlet and revise ECU settings to bring engine upto same spec as Russ's.....
As usual Jeff's fitted in this late change of plan with no problems........

Hi Simon...make sure Jeff fits the same manifold as mine...
Pete - No battle from me I'm afraid. My dream when I started this build was 550 SBC. I've now seen this grow to 730 LS7..My therapist (shrink) says I have to draw a line in the sand at some point...and not keep moving it - or was that the bank manager!

Apologies for not responding but been on my travels and the old laptop went bang big time.....can't overwork these Dell SBC's
Seriously though no HP war for me either....to be honest I'd already discussed this set-up with Jeff last year but he was expecting a much narrower powerband.....given the results he obtained on yours Russ it seemed crazy not to spend a few more bucks at this stage of the game.....but game is now over!! Any more serious money is gonna go towards upgrade of transmission/clutch after the first few track outings (If needed....)...and set of Dymags.....
PS My inlet manifold looks just like that but I'm having it anodized bling orange with black detailing....
