Hi All, Ted from Ultima took me out for a spin this morning and I'm still not sure if my internal organs are back where they should be!! biggrin
I was expecting something special, but it was insane!
I've just ordered the first three stages...

I would be really appreciative for any advice or help during the build. I've been trawling the forum and build diaries and I guess my first question is if anyone has a dolly I could use? I'm near Guildford.

Giblets: Some suggestions on your build, Take the build cd to a printers and print the thing out in heavy stock paper in bound binders.Insert some blank pages at the end of chapters for notes. Way better than fooling with a cd all the time. Print the pictures in full scale for the work you are contemplating that day. Second, the most confusing part of the build for me was close ups of say A arms with no way to tell front from back or left to right. you have lots of resource there in England get the guys top let you take some pictures of the car and but a direction pointer in the pictures. All that said building this car was a whole lot of fun enjoy the build you will miss that part of the experince when you are done. Good choice, good luck. Lee

Well done, ordered my Can Am a few weeks ago, can't wait for the middle of April to start the building process.
If my experience is anything to go by then this is the forum for advice and information. If the guys on this forum do not know the answers then no one will!
If you want to share experiences during the build get in touch, I live on the outskirts of Salisbury in Wilts.

Thanks for all the info.

Printing the build CD sounds like a great idea. I've been told 12 weeks delivery, but don't have a confirmed delivery date yet.

No problems with the height issue Pete, but I'm not fixed on the spec yet. I'm a big fan of jap motors, so ideally I'd go with a fettled 1UZ. My main concern was sorting an adapter to a G50, but I think I've found a solution. That's my current thinking, but it could all so easily change....

Welcome aboard Anthony. NOW! Don't let the owners of Black cars convince you they are faster. They are not!

Good luck
