What's the opinion,top spec LS2 around 700bhp,body mods,vents splitter,new trim etc,cool or not so cool?

Ps will have an almost new 540bhp American speed avaiable for anyone interested if I go that root.

Push the boundaries, do something different and make it extra special yes, you never know, the CanAm may even be able to ditch the hairdresser label as a direct result hehe

Agree with Wayne yes
Engine shouldn't be much of a problem, new fuel system, extra wiring into main loom, I'm sure there's an exhaust system out therewink etc, but depending on how far you want change it, the interior would be a right pain to on/in.
Good Luck
(Why not pop round sometime, would like to see the CanAm)

Yep will do Graham mail me your address and will be round as soon as can find the time.Only thinking of nice red/black interior with carpets,not sure leather or alcontara.Does the full screen frame easily remove,think i read that somewhere.Will keep standard guages etc.Is yours red /black,think i liked the look of that one.

you wont see 700bhp from an ls2, unless running lots of boost on forged internals.

LS1 = 5.7L
LS2 = 6.0L
LS7 = 7.0L

You can read loads about LS engines on the forums at http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/ the
"conversions and hybrids" section has a load of helpful info. This sticky has just about all you need to know http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=818...

I have a supercharges LS2 in mine. I bought that just when the LS7 came out. At the time nobody had cracked the LS7 ECU and I didnt want to be a guinnea pig so I went with the blown LS2. Cost about the same and has a very similar dyno figure to a stock LS7.

At the time Jeff offered a built LS engine (rather than a GM crate engine) ... I have to pass EURO4 emissions here in Hong Kong so I went for the LS2 + Magnacharger as that meets Californian emissions... so I avoided changing cams etc that would have effected emissions.

The LS7 is PLENTY powerful straight of out of the box. Speak to Peter (ultimaCZ), he changed to an LS7 engine from a SB with similar dyno numbers. He rekons the LS runs rings around the SB engine. The sequential EFI and other wizardry makes the world of difference... the installation however is very simple. Look on the http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/ and you will see the wide range of cars people are chucking LS engines into... it'll give you a world of confidence.

I would go for leather in a CanAm for durability, the screen frame has around 7 fixings which are accessible with a little struggling, but they do tend to rust a bit with water ingress.
Mine is the red/black interior.
I'll drop you a PM
