First post, long-time lurker.

I have read several threads saying that the Ultima is unsuitable for daily driver duty.

What exactly makes the Ultima unsuitable for at least a frequent driver and occasional commuter to and from work?

I'd assume with a product like Lizard Skin (http://www.lizardskin.com/) all over the cockpit and some other thicker sound deadening on the floor and front and rear firewalls you would make the noise level bearable.

As long as you sprung for A/C and had a decently set up LsX engine I don't see why it wouldn't would behave itself?

Thanks!

I used mine every day I could..... So I see no reason why it should not be a Daily driver...as long as you know that they need the occasional fetteling... but with a LSx motor and FBW throttle then that's cut down the usually fetteling issues....

If it ain't snowing then I'm going to use mine every day....

Rain is the only issue for me. A) I get very wet and b) the car goes around in circles a lot in the wet. Reliability is not an issue.

I would think that rain and a good place to park would be my two limiting factors on any trip in the GTR. I live in southren California and the a/c works well. I did put a lot of thought into heat mitigation. Lee

Width restrictions and speed humps can be a challenge. I can't take my car to work as the speed humps are too high!

I just sold my daily drive, so for the next few weeks, I am driving the Ultima every day.

My biggest problem is that the AC can't seem to keep up in the summer. It's getting to be in the high 80s with lots of sun. I can feel that there is cold air coming out of the vents, but it doesn't do much.

Other than that, I came across some speed bumps that I couldn't cross last week, so I went around. They are doing road construction in front of my office, so I have to be careful to not drag the front end. Attracting attention is only fun to a point. My car gets worse gas mileage than my old H2.

Other than that, it's a blast. I am getting ready for work right now, and I intend to take the Ultima. . .
