LSX compatable parts list

With so many people building LSX powered cars, or retro fitting them in, does anyone think it worthwhile making a list of compatable parts for them?
covering all aspects of build and giving specs and serial numbers of parts,
everything from spark plugs to headers.
I'm sure it would help a lot of people out, myself included

There won't really be anything that's interchangable from the engine, exhaust and engine ancilliary parts. You should be able to reuse the dry sump tank, pipes etc and some coolant parts mounted on the bulkhead. You may be able to keep some fuel lines and filters but I'd expect to upgrade these for high pressure efi usage.
I think it's a case of choosing the powerplant early on and building to suit.

I was thinking of the parts needed to install these engines , rather than reusing parts in an existing Chevy build? more like a directory of parts and their part numbers used in existing LSX builds
e.g. gearbox, clutch, flywheel, starter motor, engine loom, ecu, header.
so if a future builder requires a part he can simply look up the available options.

Got you. You'd probably keep the gearbox and existing clutch. Would need a flywheel to suit the lsx crank pcd. Different engine loom, pcm and headers would be needed. I've been looking at the Omex ecu as an alternative to the GM item but each to their own.e.g. gearbox, clutch, flywheel, starter motor, engine loom, ecu, header.

I think the problem with producing a parts list is that there are dozens of permutations with each and every build, no 2 are exactly the same, there is a plethora of engines and gearbox configurations to choose from, constructors have to 'fudge' it here and there to overcome personal configuration problems, I suppose that's what makes each car personal and unique.
I bet you could give 10 builders the same box of parts and you would end up with 10 different Ultimas. 'Viva La Difference'
