Looks like the first engine has vat included and the second engine although in sterling is pre vat.

the other ls engines are a right bargain arent they?!! im shocked at the crate prices for the ls2.. im sure i paid more than that for my Rover V8..

If you buy them from the USA then they are cheaper still, I dunno how much import duty is tho.

You also have to factor the cost of the missing parts, front end accessories etc plus bit's which will be changed to suit an ultima installation.
