Stonking Trackday Today

So, my first trackday in the Ultima after having only a few road miles in it ....gulp!

Shouldn't have worried, perfect weather today at Goodwood and only 17 cars turned up!! - fantastic and buckets of track time. Ultima was blinding (driver less so) in fact it was awesome - does what it says on the tin.

Two particularly good bits: hitting 160 before braking for Woodcote, and a really quick guy in an R500 reckoning he couldn't get past me for all the flames and pollution coming from my exhausts on the overrun In fact several people said the 4 foot exhaust flames were more spectacular than the old EVO

Car, easier to drive than I thought; carb, total pile-o-dung and needs going in the bin

btw, what did you think of the brakes on track?

First thoughts on the road were that the brakes were disapointing, but on track they were super, just needs a healthy shove. Even with the huge brake going into Woodcote they were excellent, no fade, no scary stuff, and can make the road tyres squeal and chirp from any speed.

Now if I just fit some R888s and fuel injection and .......... (Oh and become 30 years younger) ...and ..
