HI GUY'S
PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP? I NEED A NEW RING GEAR FOR MY FLYWHEEL
I'M RUNNING A FORD V8 WITH THE G50 BOX IS THIS RING GEAR PART OF THE G50
BOX OR THE FORD SIDE OF THING'S? ALSO NEED A STARTER MOTOR, ANY IDEA,S WHERE I MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET THESE BIT.S AND PRICE WISE.

Apparently Ford and the G50 series of boxes share the same input shaft spline.
What this means is that you can use a ford clutch or a Porsche clutch in the g50 bell housing providing it clears the internals. So what clutch you have, will determine the flywheel you have, either a ford part to match your crank or a Porsche one.
The Porsche flywheel has the starter ring gear mounted further away from the mounting face of the crank as the starter is positioned on the gearbox side. A standard ford flywheel may require the starter to be positioned on the engine side of the adaptor plate. canam dave had a photo of his new setup in a recent post.
Sounds like a fairly typical ford GT40 set up, if you need reference pictures there would be numerous that could be found via gt40s.com
