From race tow eye
Discussion
Hey guys, well time for the first proper question about Ultima ownership.
The car is booked in for an RMA track day, have done loads with them and always had a great time, the question I've got is fitted the proper front and rear tow eyes that are required for track use. I've seen the factory do a front kit, is this an easy bolt on job or does it require removing lots to fit? And is there a similar kit for the rear available? (and no not planning on using them but nice to have them there just incase!).

I made something similar to the Factory items, and yes they are quite easy to fit, the rear one more so. With the front one you will have to remove a small part of the grill and some of the fibreglass from the front clip in order to allow it to poke through and for the clip to be openned. The rear one just bolts onto the underside of the rear most chassis rail.

I can do a front towing eye that only requires a minimal amount of grille having to be removed and no piece from front clip.
I know it might seem a silly question to you but, the plate that it is attached to looks a wee bit thin, have you tested it out properly out of a gravel trap etc?
