A Can-Am with a tarty PCV valve, just sums it up

come on, out of the closet Rusti
These might be a better view of the engine. I was recommended to run a PCV from the carb base and an atmosphere breather from the other valve cover and a crank breather from the mechanical fuel pump cover. I have no leaks.

But do you use oil?I have just changed, Stoneleigh being my first true run, to a PCV valve setup. I now run a PCV value to the throttle body base and the other breather into my air filter holder. This I have seen done by Toyota, fresh filtered air can then be pulled into the crankcase or flow into the throttle body. But I still loose oil somewhere, doh!

The standard factory breather system has a pipe from each rocker cover to a catch tank and then two pipes out of that to atmosphere.
I have closed one of the catch tank outlets.
The other has the PCV valve fitted to it and piped to the base of the carb.
In operation the carb draws a vacuum on the catch tank which in turn draws on both rocker covers. There is no other engine breathing or air inlet.
