why Wllwoods ?

Looked at an Ultima which had a set of 'Wilwood Light' calipers. I thought that GTR's only ran 'AP 's', but i suppose any good breaking system would do. Is there any hard and fast rule for using one manufacturer as opposed to the other ?
Are the cooling fans used by these cars sufficient enougth to keep the engine cool if the car is stationary for long periods of time i.e. heavy traffic? It may just be that these cars never find themselves in that position, but, if ever it was the case, it would be good to know that there would be no over-heating issues, typical of American V8's.

Wilwoods are a cheaper option tbh made just as well with pistons virtually the same as the equivalent AP calliper I think alot of it is to do with the fact Wilwood are made in the USA where raw materials are probably cheaper than in the UK where AP manufacture as long as you bed in the brakes in the correct manner then you should never have any issues with any brake set up all it is about is which brand you prefer at the end of the day other than that it is a brand name thing personally I like Wilwoods better also they are cheaper by a mile

Am I reading these comments the wrong way or has Absolutely got it the wrong way round?AP are the brakes Ultima supply.
They may have used Willwood in the distant past but I don't believe they offer them now.
