Was thinking about changing my standard rad over for a lighter ali one.
Then started to wonder if it will need such a large radiator at all?
Sure the Ultima one is undoubtedly required for an SBC, but for an 07 RS4 engine? Worried it might actually 'over-cool' with all those rows and copper.
Anyone have any opinions?

Cooling is marginal on the SBC anyhow so I would get an alloy one made to the same dimensions... the std one weighs a ton so you should loose over 20kgs doing it as well.
I do know Wayne had one made for his car but my alloy rads which are larger but with half the cores (which were from pace) cost me under £300 each so I guess they should be around £400 to get made?

I had Rad Tec manufacture my alloy radiator. The people know there cooling!
