I had a bit of a starting problem over last weekend, just before boarding the train I had to turn it over quite a few times before she started, I didn't think too much about it until it was time to get off the train eek I was turning it over for what seemed like minutes (luckily I purchased a new RedTop a while back) and she eventually started. In France no bother, but coming back on the train again difficult to start. . . . . .Well I have just been cleaning the engine etc and found black 'gunk' under the coil dripping onto the gearbox. . . looks like I might of found my starting problem. It's an MSD Blaster SS coil, a bit late to order one now so will have to wait till Monday.
The problem I had with my wiper motor running constantly was with a wash/wipe intermittent device from SmartScreen between the stalks and the motor, just had to disconnect the earth wire from this to regain normal function. . . wish I knew that before I replaced the stalks and motor (DOH!!!!) At least SmartScreen are replacing it FOC....I guess that's some consolation. . . . .no it isn't really as that's the cheapest part.
Thinking of naming my car Christine. . . . maybe later she will rebuild herself like in the film. . . . .

Graham, I have a spare MSD blaster SS coil that I believed to be leaking, but was actually a faulty accusump connection spraying clean oil up towards the coil, so if you want a cheap second hand one let me know.
