SPA Design Dash

I spoke to SPA Design earlier today about their rather good looking dash display system: http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/dashsystem.asp
In particular I wanted the Ultima logo printed and a 200MPH limit - this they offered for a one off fee of £200 in addition to the £800 or so the dash costs.
If anyone is interested in buying this dash with said Ultima logo then we could share the costs - just a thought!

Nice dash (but I hate the stereos on the Ultimas). I would paint the pointers in red to match the other dials.
By the way, there is a large gap between the body shell and the rollcage which sounds rare for me. Are you still working adjusting the bodyshell ??

Hi Kelvin,
the SPA dash comes with its own loom as well, overall it wasnt to bad to incorporate. I spliced the Spa loom into the relevant parts of the Ultima. The SPA dash also has some very high tech pressure and temp senders for what ever you want to measure, the speedo connection is also different to the Ultima sensor so you have to just be aware of what you can splice and what you need to keep. The fuel gauge is mappable so the 'odd' shaped tanks that we have are able to be calibrated for a more accurate read out.
Probaly the most frustrating part of the installation was getting the dash to actually sit where i wanted it. The flat part of the dashboard is quite thin and i had tho thicken that up a bit with fibreglass to stop the dash 'wobbling '.

I suppose you could paint the needles if you wanted but they are actually illuminated for night vision, they also have settable shift lights, you know get to 6k and turn red that sort of thing.
I dont think i had done the final fit of the body work when i took the pics last year, the windscreen certainly wasnt bonded in. i agree the gap does look large but now the bodywork is fitted the gap is slightly smaller and all panels fit and have the right gaps.

You near to finishing yet?
Wouldn't mind popping over for a chat again. I'm off to look at a 2nd hand GTR tomorrow so may have one on the road before your goodself albeit a lot lower spec.
