A new compressor comes with oil but I don't believe that is enough for the system.
For mine I just called a local A/C company who came out and did whatever was needed. I don't know how much of anything he put in but he seemed to just know. He was not happy with the first charge as it was not getting down to the right temp so he did it again. Has been working fine for 4 years now and I sometimes have to turn it off as it is freezing my nuts.
