Alternator Gremlin's

Hi guys
With the rebuild I have installed a 150 amp Power Master racing Alternator.
Its brand new +- 500 miles on it. The last two start ups I've noticed the volt reading go up to 15/16 volts on the guage. Tested it with a meter same thing . Made sure I didnt rev it to much on start up. Only once the engine warms up does the alternator regulate normaly 14.3 volts. So only on cold start up is it happening or when the engine cools enough.
Gremlins are definitly hampering this rebuild.
