Please can you give me your opinions (and any pros/cons)


Ultima electric wing-mirrors....?
or
Ultima manual wing-mirrors...?

Other wing-mirrors...?

As I understand it you need to be able to adjust the wing mirrors from within the car to pass the SVA (I may be wrong)and this is why the mirrors are electric.

Yes it is an SVA requirement, could be manual if you can reach it from the drivers seat I believe.

leave the door windows out & long stick for the passenger side

You only have to reach the drivers side one and if not electric this can be done through a helicopter vent if your arm fits.

If you leave the side windows out for SVA make sure you put trim around the edges. I quite like the idea of removable side windows but that needs some further investigation.

Depends on how removable you want the side windows. Doors lift 1 inch at the top doing 170mph so I think you may want the side windows firmly attached!

You have to be able to adjust the 'Obligatory mirrors' which start off being interior and offside. If the interior provides no rearward view then a nearside mirror becomes obligatory.
Obligatory mirrors must be adjustable from 'inside the vehicle' so not necessarily the drivers seat.

..did you measure it?

...so what happens at 200 mph?

can you limbo through the gap?



(in-Joke - cos I tore my ligament being silly on hols one inebriated night doing the limbo - I kid you not! ...and I am still limping! Not recommended for the older gents! )

I think this answers the question. Car was geared to about 165mph at 6400rpm and hit the limiter about 1/3 down the runway.
