Just in from AMS....EGT temps on your engine ran from 1140 to 1370 low rpm to high rpm. Average was 1296
This was with 93 octane unleaded fuel. Higher octane fuels will run cooler. This is fairly normal for 93 octane..........
Timing is at 42 d/gre , which is at 3000 rpm , factory setting. Maby the quality of fuel over here , thinking of trying higher octane at this point, whats the consensis........

Although your profile photo is close to the coast, what altitude are you testing at. Some quite high locations in SA.........this, if combined with a slightly lower grade fuel will give you differences to A/S's initial setup. Even just 2000ft above sea level will make a noticeable difference........just one theory!

Mine is a 377 with great bits a bonkers cam, higher comp ratio 10.8 to 1, it does only have 23 degree heads not 18's but that might make 40 bhp difference. It revs to 7000rpm but would go to 7500 with no issues and it made 540bhp on Tim Adams dyno.
I watched Tim dyno a monster 6.8 litre ali blocked race engine, with 11.5 to 1 comp ratio, 18 degree heads, £3000 crank, titanium rods, jesel rockers, mega money heads and kinsler injection on motech and that made 625bhp at 7000 rpm!!!!
SO IM SORRY 685bhp is nonsense.

I take it you're talking bhp at the wheels , mine made 685 bhp at the flywheel and 575 bhp at the wheels lets put a correction factor of 15% , thats 660 bhp at the flywheel , soooo.......... 25 bhp short of the AMS dyno sheet . Im happy with that....... 

no im not, im talking at the fly .... as i said on an engine dyno.

how did you get an at the wheels figure??
15% off 685 makes 573 at the flywheel which is more like it.
I to have a 377 it is great, i love the way it revs.
American Speed supplied the motor with a dyno sheet of 685 hp and 580 ft/lb .
Once the engine was installed we dynod it and got 575 hp at the wheels so I've estimated a 15 % drivetrain loss so add 15 % to 575 hp and you get 661 hp at the fly , which is 24 hp short of their 685 hp figure , which by the way also had a c/f.
